First Project

The work is figurative, but the branchs and hanging leaves make it somewhat abstract because at first glance your unsure what they are.There is a use of depth of field because the closest leaf is out of focus, but the rest of the image is in focus all of this was done intentionally. There are a lot of shapes in the image the branch by her face are a very sharp straight line and all the leaves are free abstract shape. There is also a slight red tone to the image. In this image I wanted to give a feeling of a Lonesome escape in nature. It is not very dark or light, But there is a nice variation of tones in all the leaves and they are very clear.I love this picture because she is surrounded by a tree and how the light peaks through the back of the tree and the look on her face is at peace and wants to be left alone. I think it would have been more successful if she was more to the left of the shot.
