This image is again Figurative nothing is abstract about it , It had very good contrast when I printed it but I still used a filter just too boost it up a little I did not edit it on photoshop in anyway. I shot this image from the side at a medium distant away. I love the different textures and shapes in this image, the latice work, the bushes, ther table and the girls themselves. Overall I think that this image is okay, there is just not much going on, I did not had anything paculiar in the background to catch the eye but I do happen to think that it is incredably beautiful. My dad said that this image of mine is his favorite because "It is like the girls are just sitting watching everyday life" and that it makes you think, like life is not really all that exciting. Not really what I was going for but somthing interesting I ended up with and I am happy with it.

This photo is abosolutly figurative, because i not only have a subject in the center , but I also experiment with writing on my photographs , because Duane Michaels truly inspired me to do somthing totally uncalled for in the photo world. The only unfortunate thing is that I printed this image backwards and was unable to fix my mistake in photoshop because then the word would be backwards. which might have been interesting, but not what I was going for. I have to burn in her hand a bit because the sun is behind her and it took away her hand and the top part of the gate but it works because she is lookking at her hand and It made me think she was almost watching herself disapear, hence the "Goobye" I thought it would be interesting to draw the cartoon butterflyies, because she is in nature and it's fairy tale like. I shot from a medium distance away straight on no interesting angle, I also made a mistake of a beginer by putting my subject directly in the middle of the frame, however with the gate and plants heavy to her right it works and I do not find It borning at all. The tone of this picture and I belive in all my images is that of a beautiful or even mystical sadness and even eri. It was a little flat when I first printed it but I used a filter and it turned out alot better but it is still a bit too gray for me. Overall I absolutly love this picture and it is one of my favorites yet.

Studio Lighting

This photograph is my first studio lighting. The work is figurative and shot from a medium distance from my subjects straight on no angles. It is a dark image which I like too do very much in my photography. I found it very hard to be inspired by a studio my inspiration comes from nature or interesting locations. I like this photograph but it is all due to my models facial expression. Even though I tried to bring the nature into the studio with flowers on there heads I think its cute but the photo would still be just as strong if not stronger without them and the umbrella I find somwhat interesting, but overall it is a distraction. I love the lighting because I did not have a hadow like almost all of my other classmates because I do not want to do what everyone else does. I also just think that overall they are beautiful and look like fairies.
PHOTOSHOP
I really enjoyed using photoshop because
I was able to take my very first picture
on (the left) a flat image which I
honestly do not like very much and make it
into somthing I love. I croped the picture
of Riana and The picture of myself which I
took on photobooth and combined them
togther which was actually fairly easy
with some practice . It took a long time
I also had to change the picture of myself
into black and white, it took time to
make both of our heads the same size to I
had to re do it alot to get it where it
was, and overall I really love what I
created because I feel like it is a movie
poster that you would see hanging in the
theatre.
