Motion

This work is abstract even though their is a person in it because she is in silloette she becomes more of a shape rather then a person. She is far away from me and im shooting below her at an upward angle.
The top half of the photo is empty, the middle is filled with trees and the bottom half is pretty much empty but only has dead grass. The tones are gray and white not much black in it, the image is in complete focus and it was done intentionally.
I'm not sure what I was trying to say but I wanted there to be something out of place in nature. I do not know if Karina is really out of place or fits in perfectly. The image is more light and was shot outdoors.
I think that his image works really well it captures you and fills you with awe. I love this picture and I think that it is beautiful because there is something about dance and photography that makes people just stop and think. That is always my goal in my work to make people stop and stare.

Depth of Field

The work is figurative because for the most part everything is in focus accept for the branches cloest to me, troy is a medium distance away from me. There alot of shapes from the trees and the fence it almost looks like there is another person in the shot between the tree to the far left of the image.
The top 2/3rds of the image are completely filled with all kinds of shapes from the branches and troy and again the fence, but down by his feet it is just the grass and is simple, It was intentional that everything is in focus but the leave closest to my camera. The shot is too gray and not enough contrast but I do not mind so much because it is sort of interesting how the forest almost blends completely together in a swirl. This image was taken outdoors.
I think that overall this image is okay I do not like how troy is standing up to much and it is way to gray, but it is somewhat interesting so I do not really mind.

This image is for the most part figurative but because it is almost completly out of focus accept for one part of the tree branch it almost becomes abstract because you cannot really see any detail of troy's face or hands.
I love how this shot is organized I was at the top of a hill looking down on him, the tree comes out of the left corner and fills up the entire upper half of the image. It is very gray and even looks like a rainy day, but because its out of focus I do not really seem to mind. My photo being out of focus was not exactly intentionally but it turned out to be a happy accident and I love how it turned out.
This image is not literally dark but it gives you a dark feeling when you look at it. It was taken outdoors .
I think that this image works really well it conveys such a since of mystery and it brings up many questions about the shot. What is troy looking at? Where is he? and because it's out of focus it only makes you try to answer or questions even more. The dim gray gives it a sad feeling and because of the angle it looks like he is doing something secret and is unaware I took a picture of him.
